Default bug eye exhaust noob

hi ive had a classic wrx jdm and put a blitz centre and rear but left the down pipe cat for mot standard, now i have just bought a x reg bug eye import 250 bhp! and it has a decat centre stainless pipe and stainless rear box but also a decat down pipe with lambda in,

it will fail emmisions the prevoiuse owner had a friendly mot man.will this cause any damage to the engine and it doesn't feel very torque'y or pull as much as i would have thought, is this because there's no back pressure in the system or does it need a remap!o put a standard downpipe on?.

also is it recomended to throw away the piper cross cone filter and refit the standard air box any good info would be gratfull steve

You need to find out if it has been re-mapped. As it will probably be running lean.

Only way will be to get it on a rolling road, explain what has been done and that you are unsure if it has been mapped. They should then give it a run a be able to tell from the fuelling figures.
