face lift power steering pump on a classic?
right, i throught i understood what i needed to do
but the conection for the early pump dont fit the newer smaller type.
what do i need to connect the pipe to it.
this is the last thing stopping me finishing the engine off.
is there an adapter you but or???
advice please

Or, if you can't be arsed to read it. Remove the connector from the new pump and replace it with the one from your old one.

thats the one i read, but the hose bolt off the face lift one is completly different to the one i took off the old pump.
so is there a different adapter i need
this pump came from a 97, my car is a uk95.

My replacement was from a 97, original will have been the same as yours.
I'm at a loss as to what's going wrong.
Swapping the fitting from old to new should allow the pipe to connect.
You got any pics?
Just noticed yours is a UK, if the PS tanks are the same, then it shouldn't make a difference.

its dave mate.
for some reason, the conection is completly different.
it looks the same as in that quide, but dont fit the newer pump.
its def a 97 pump too. may be the old pump has a different conection then may be

well after today, no one seems to do an adapter for what i need.
the thread was a m18, the other a m12
an egineering place is going to adapt it for me, as theres polenty of meat on the bolt. so it will fit the power sreering pump, only charging £15
all i need to do, is conect my fuel hoses for the fpr
and the engine can go back in.
then jgm can do his magic
