What do I need to convert my bugeye to 6-speed ?
As per the title, if I wanted to go for the 6 speed box (non DCCD) from the Bugeye STi, what bits would I need ?
Just the gearbox ?
Diff ?
Driveshafts ?
Crossmember ?
I have a UK spec 2002 Bugeye WRX by the way !

I keep getting different replies.
Being told that I can use the 230mm 5 speed clutch and flywheel instaed of the 240mm 6-speed one and reuse my own starter motor.
If I source the gearbox off a 'Type UK' STi, people are saying that I won't need to change the diff, just the gearbox and prop shaft ?
My brain hurts !

keep your 5 speed they are better for road use (not as strong) but gearing in better, the more you tune them up the more time your seem to be changing gear as you never seem to be in the right gear.
and yeah flywheels fit just 6 speed has the ribs in the bell housing taken away more for clearance as i fitted a 6 speed flywheel and clutch into a mate 5 speed wrx few year ago

Got a Subaru Legacy 3.0R Spec B 6 Speed box here, very low milage and faultless. Same ratio as uk STI impreza and a direct fit bar the speedo sensor which David at Api can sort. It comes complete with Box,Linkage,Prop,Rear Diff,Shafts ready to drop in. £1400 bargain collected from South London. PM for more info and pics if interested.

I have my own Classic GT Impreza with 6-speed dccd box and 5-speed Exedy Racing clutch and lightweight Exedy flywheel in it. I have taken many launches using launch control and ALS at the drag strip. Clutch was hold pretty good without slipping over 2-years. So 5-speed clutch is very good in my eyes to use it at 6-speed box.

Just gone 6-speed into 5-speed UK car.
I was told to get the starter, clutch slave cylinder, linkages and all drive shafts and the diff.
I think if you do newage to newage, the driveshafts are the same, and maybe the diff too?
Have a look here though: http://www.northursalia.com/techdocs...rannychart.pdf
Find yours, check diff ratio, find the new one, likewise
Yours has the g/box code on the VIN plate, on top of the n/s inner wing. The new one, likewise, or it's stamped on the bellhousing upper surface.
