Talking sport conversion

Hi guys

looking for abit of advice im currently converting my brothers uk prosport to a uk turbo. they are both my99 and the only difference in the cars as far as i can see is the turbo. we have taken the engine out of the uk turbo and are getting ready to rip out the n/a engine and replace but would like to know if the wiring needs replacing in order for it to work. we have already swapped the rear drums to running discs and we are changing the sport box for a 5 speed sti box.

can anyone give me any advice to get it finished?

cheers

Dan

The fact you are asking this question at this stage is worring to say the least!! you shoud have done your homework/planing this job out first... you will need the ecu form the turbo car which also means you will need its engine loom, as chance has it by the sounds of things you have matched the my99 of both cars making the loom swap an eaiser job

gearbox, diff, wiring loom, ecu, brakes, suspension, anti roll bars and there's probably more that would be needed to have a safe swap. hope that helps mate.

The shell is the same, thats it, pretty much everything else is different and its not worth the time or effort to convert one, plus it costs you more in insurance than a turbo as all the mods add to the cost.

My advice, sell the sport, buy a turbo.

So you are stripping a uk turbo to make a uk turbo?????? That would mean you already have a uk turbo before you start???????????? You lost me!

If you have the car side by side, a turbo and a non turbo to do a swap over, their is alot of work involed! complete engine, ecu, loom, rear axle assembly, gearbox, clutch, suspension, exhaust system, brakes, to name a few.
