hi guys im in the middle of sripping my v2 sti (head gasket gone i think) do you know what power the standard head bolts can take? i was running 350 bhp at 1.4 bar! dont know wether to put standard bolts in or fork out 3 times more for a set of arp studs. what would you do?

 

im using standard bolts at 1.3bar, no issues
but only 317bhp

for what its worth, id get the better arp studs to be sure mate.
im building my new engine, and just used them

 

Cosworth do 'em too. More expensive than ARP.

Then they do an even more uprated set at mega bucks.
