I really need somehelp, I've a very heavily modified scoob that I purchased a year ago, it had major engine work 6 years ago and won't pass an emissions test, friednly garages have helped out, my MOT is now due and the garage who did the last MOT is now closed, can anyone help me please? Am desperate, please feel free to PM me if you prefer.

There may be an answer to it all. What's the model/year, exact spec and the figures you're actually getting? all of them..

 

TDI built the engine, I think I've accepted without shelling out a ton of cash I won't fix the emissions,

MY2001WRX, forged pistons, hks fcon v pro, hks Gt rs turbo, larger injectors, with cat fitted:

Fast idle
Co 4.56 fail
Hc 353ppm fail
Lambda 0.89 fail

Natural idle
Co 0.11 pass

The car runs brilliantly and on dyno power curve is really smooth

 

Looks like the mapping needs tidying or maybe a MAF/Lambda prob. Scoobyclinic are in Chesterfield and will sort for you.

 

could run 2 maps 1 for mot and 1 for the rest of the year
