Im now running a standard system Uk classic, having removed a decat 3inch turbo back. Not many threads about this ( cos you'll think its dull ) so for those that want to know what it feels like on a classic here it is:

It is quiet but not a bad sound at all up in 4k revs. I hear engine and turbo now not exhaust.

The car is so much easier to drive at lower revs and i dont mind that on my daily commute. Im changing gears less in heavy traffic.

My radio sounds great no competition with my sub.

No smoke on start up and no fuel smell. Cats busy at work I guess.

Less torque. It doesnt really get going until 3000 revs. Before it was kicking in at just inder 2500 revs. This means ive lost some flexibility in different gears and lost that sharper throttle response. It wasnt mapped.

I dont feel like revving higher than 5000 as it gains little in power. Whereas before it felt good for 6000+

Fuel consumption tbc but I had been getting 27's maxing at 32 on a motorway so i'll see how i do.

Next step is to get a Sports back box to replace the OE i ve got.

I want to feel a better throttle response but keep noise to cabin quiet.

Im guessing the full decat I had probably gave me 15+ bhp what could i claw back with 2 std cats and sports back box over the 215bhp I have now.
