Default wobble wheb braking

Hello guys,
My missus has stacked her 51 plate bugeye into a trafic island and smashed the 2 ofside alloys , anyway 4 new alloys and a new front strutt been fitted to the car but since her "Incident" when i brake, the steering wheel has got a bad wobble.! Could her bending the alloys have warped the brake disk somehow?
Cheers, Deano.

I'm assuming you have re-checked the wheel nuts for tightness? it does happen and i have seen reputable mechanics forget the 2 that they have hand tightened hehe.

It may possibly be the disc is cracked or warped? or it may just be the pads. I would check these first as theyre an easy fix and then move onto checking everything else in those impact areas as it does sound like suspension/drivetrain issue to me.

All the wheel nuts are nice and tight, what would i be looking for on the pads?? I have had a second hand strutt put on there and cant vouch for the workings of it!! Was talking to a mate about the strutt and he recons that he has put an ofside one on the onside?? just cut the bracket for the hoses of and re-tacked it back on?? surely this cant be right!!

It will be a bent hub flange on front offside.

That happened to me and my Fiesta Mk.1 1.1 lol!

Had some work done on the front axle and the **** forgot to tighten the wheel bolts. Going to work the next day, rounded a right-hander, then felt the car plonk down on the near-side... Only to see the front wheel bouncing gracefully up the road and finally coming to rest in the adjacent cornfield!!

New hub flange is about £170+vat, new bearing is about £45+vat, with about 2 hours of labour to fit. The disc may now be worn out of true due to the bearing if it's done many miles like that, so be ready to buy a new one of those too. Best bet is to check with a dial gauge the runout of the hub flange, and then the disc too.
