Not the gapless rings no, absolutely not, don't go there.

But they also do a lot of other (non gapless) rings and they're DLC coated normal section rings are good.

Interesting idea but given the massive accelerations inflicted on rings I'd guess that the complication creates more problems than it solves. Maybe it would be useful in some sort of eco engine application.

really why not thought it would be a must have for a rebuild?

It would be a very long answer. But just don't go with gapless rings.

to me gapless rings are a big no no i wouldnt use them on an engine that was designed for gapped rings could cause detonation by increasing the compression plus they would put extra loading on the crank and rods. i just wouldnt tbh.
