Default tdo5 turbo/z4 ecu

thinkng of a td05 turbo to replace my tdo4. i'v had one before on me old engie but it let go and so i bought another engine, hence the up grade,
how ever i'm till using my z4 ecu would it be ok for a straight swap or would i have to look in to it further?

ooppss soorry its a 1994/1995 wrx jap import but the engine is unknown at the mo as it luks the same other than the smaller turbo and the lightened cam pully wheels rather than the solid looking ones on me old engine.
hopes this helps with your crystal ball tony lol

Is your car a saloon or wagon? early wrx wagons came with the td04 and less bhp, early wrx saloons came with the td05, amazingly early uk wagons had the td05's, dont ask why

Don't think the Z4 was fitted to wagons. I believe the Z4 already expects a TD05 so fitting one shouldn't cause a problem.
