Default fault code for idle sensor

i'v just managed to get me car up and running after many months of been side lined and 5 hours of hard graft and cursing, i'v changed my plugs, new fuel fiter, and brand new coil packs oh and new maf and a new hks induction kit ( just for the sound really) all was fine till yesterday when i came home after a meal and a steady drive back when my check engine light came on and it started to rev up to 2k then drop and so on, any way i'v had a look at the fualt code and its come up with idle air sensor? but the strange thing is it didn't have this problem before, i'm no mechanic but i know my round my flat four but this is all new to me.any idea's orsuggestions on how to fetle it or fine turn it as i realy can't afford a new one. so any help or advise would be very welcome.
