WRX fuel pump

Default WRX fuel pump

what do the two smaller wires going to the fuel pump on MY96 impreza do? are they related to a standard fitment ecu controlled immobiliser or something? its dead. im just inquisitive as to what they do and what feeds i should have on them.

Are they not the +v and -ve for the fuel gauge sender i.e. from the float/potentiometer in the tank?
