shims, calipers, discs, could be anything associated with the brake upgrade

Did you clean the hubs well before mounting the new discs?

Hello mate, i had this problem on my brakes, it could be that the pads are a little loose and therefore moving slightly when pressure is applied or if like mine the retaining clip had been put in upside down, just remove one of the pins that hold your pads in, remove the retaining clip turn up the other way and refit pin, give it a go, it might work.
