Hey all,

I just did an ECU check by connecting the two black cables to see what was in there,

it has returned two error codes namely 22 - Knock sensor and 32 - O2 sensor.

I have just bought the motor and have no idea if these are maybe old codes that have never been reset, or problems that are still to be sorted?

My question is, can I reset the ecu and see if they come back, or should I take it for granted that they are needed?

If I reset the ecu will it cause any damage, and if th problems are still there will it detect them and adjust the engine accordingly, or by resetting them, does it think that they have since been fixed?

As you can see I'm clueless and somewhat concerned

 

I'd reset it and see how you get on. If there is a real issue it'll put the check light on.

 

Thanks for that buddy, thats what i figured, i had an o2 sensor go before in my blob eye sport and the engine light went on, and stayed on, I figured this should have done the same if there was a current problem?
