Engine help please!
Can anyone help please??? i've just brought a 95' plate wrx, the engines a non runner! it has a walbro fuel pump, hks induction kit, apexi ecu, and a full stainless steel exhaust.
My plan is to get a new block and heads, whilst keeping the original electrics etc, my question is will i need to retune the engine to the ecu? to get it to run right, my other question is with the modifications it has on it do i need to up rate anything else eg; the injectors etc; to prevent any further damage! could these modifications of been the reason the engine went in the first place? ( it overheated and lost compression on the o/s cylinder head) possible piston melt? Any info much appreciated!!!!!

if u put sti engine in its good to uprate the injectors if wrx just leave the same injectors in cus wrx are not as strong so if u uprate the injectors on 1 its going to do sum damage cuz the bhp will put it under straine with uprated injectors if that makes sense mate

i dont think the injectors would be a problem because if you aint changing the turbo theres no point. there good for around 290bhp i think and you wont get much more
without a bigger turbo.
without a bigger turbo.
