Default 2002 WRX Exhaust Manifolds

Hey everyone,

I've got a slight exhaust gas leak, which appears to be coming from somewhere around the exhaust manifold area on the offside (where the birds nest of pipes are). It is very difficult to locate the source of the leak without removing parts of the manifold / headers. Although it is likely to be leaking at a gasket, my thought is that I may as well replace the old manifold with a S/Steel replacement when refitting and replace the up-pipe at the same time.

So, here is my dilemma...

Equal vs Unequal Manifolds
To buy one on ebay for around £150 or spend more somewhere else

Your thoughts and ideas will be appreciated.

If you are on the standard turbo fitting a set of tubular headers would be a big mistake because you will lose a whole lot of spool. Your best solution would be to fit a set of ported headers and matched uppipe which will improve your existing spool and remove the cause of your present gas leak.
