Warranty on second hand wrx 2006 ???
Hi there,
Getting my long dreamed about WRX 2.5 on Friday.
The Subaru dealer is offering Subaru Warranty for £399 for one year. Wondering whether it's worth it or not... what is the chance of it breaking down so it could be claimed under warranty?.... wear & tear obviously is not included....
Anyone can suggest? Any serious known problems with this model?...
Thanks in advance!!!

I bought my 03 WRX back in October from a Subaru dealer and they threw in 12 months Warranty with it. Also if I remember rightly, I know someone who just renewed warranty on there RB320 on a 57 plate, and that cost them around £240, same Subuaru dealer.
Certainly well worth the £399 though, especially if the rear struts pack in as they do. Make sure they are covered if you do opt for the warranty.
hope this helps

Cover details
Well, that's another problem. The dealer said that I could find warranty summary on internet. But I can not find any details at all on subaru.co.uk or any other UK websites...
So I have no idea what exactly it covers...

Mileage is 49,000... quite low I would think... one owner before me.
I would not normally even think about a warranty for any other "normal" car... but I have never had anything like this. Not sure what the repair costs would be even if it does have a problem, which I would guess is remote for any Japanese car....

if u do more than 12000 miles a yr then it will be a waste of time as when my warranty ran out i was offered this exact extended 1yr warranty but it only covers the car to 60000 miles, then the warranty is void,
but on the other hand if u do less than the above then its a good buy,
