Hi everyone I have a slight problem with my electric folding mirror on my 95 wrx. Basically the drivers mirror wont auto stop at 90 degrees and goes past it to about 110 degrees. It seems to pop in to a groove at 90 but the motor pushes it back out of the groove past its correct position. The passenger’s side works perfectly, So my question is what stops the motor is it a electrical trigger, a mechanical stop and how can I fix it.

I have the same problem on my96 WRX but with my passenger mirror instead. I've just learnt to live with it tbh. I just flick the switch off when I see it hit 90 degrees thus stopping it going to far.
This is my second set of mirrors so thats why I'm living with the problem for now unless someone else knows how to solve it for us both Goodluck eitherway
