Red face Ticking/Missfiring Help Needed!

Hi all,
Having a issue with my Type R Subaru, which is fully forged proffessionally about 6 months (2000 miles ago). I dont use the car very often, weekend car.

The car suddenly started missfiring and making a very light tappety/ticking noise. Looking at the coil pack mounted on the inlet manifold, when i pull off the top right lead i get a spark, but no chnage in tone of the engine. When i remove the others they all change a note in the engine. I have changed all the HT leads.

The missfire is apparent on idle however when you rev the car or drive it, drives fine, ticking gets quieter, or i cant hear it!!

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks

Hi mate, have you changed or upgraded your ECU? I had a similar problem which went away once i plugged a different ECU in - everything pointed towards it being a problem with the coil packs or air leak etc..

Im running Autronic but yes i tried plugging in the Standard ECU and still the same!

Im just hoping i havent lost compression in that cylinder. Shouldnt do, i spent £5300 on the build!
