Air bags
#1
Hi,
I wrote of my UK300 on sunday night
and was wondering, should the air bags
pop in a rear and front drivers side
collision (barriers on a roundabout).
And could you tell me why my car decided
to go up in flames after i drove it home
(2 miles)after the crash.

As you have a UK300 then it will only have the driver and passenger air bags, but no side air bags.
Description is a little vague, but I assume that it was not a direct head on collision with the barriers on a roundabout.
As it was not a head on collision it is unlikely that the air bags will go off because the force of the impact would not be sufficient to exceed the threshold expected by the air bag sensors in the car.
If the airbags went off in minor accidents it could result in a driver loosing further control of a car leading to a more serious accident to occur.
The owners manual for the car, if you still have this, explains when the air bags will deploy.
