Default EXHAUST FUMES

HI ALL IVE GOT A 93 STI AND IM GETTING EXHAUST FUMES INSIDE MY CAR THEY AINT COMING THROUGH THE HEATERS COZ ITS STLL COMING INTO THE CAR WHEN THEY ARE CLOSED AND TURNED OFF I HAVE HAD THE CAR AT MY LOCAL KWIK FIT TO CHECK THE EXHAUST FOR LEAKS AN ITS ALL FINE HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE COZ ITS DOING MY HEAD AN EVERYTIME I GO FOR A BIT OF A DRIVE IM GETTING HIGH LOL CHEERS

Crank / rocker cover breathers? Are they vented to atmosphere or has one of the pipes fallen off or split??

Check the pipes and follow all of them.

also chech gasket betweeen turbo and down pipe you will need it running and remove cold air duct on turbo just put hand when running should feel blow around joint between turbo and down pipe also check manifold and look for cracks on turbo and maniflod

ive had a good look all round that area because thats what i thought it was but it all looks like its ok an i carnt feel any leaks

A length of 3/8 inch plastic tube to either your nose and / or ear will help you find any leaks!

Might be worth checking the boot seal is ok - I had this and it went away after I tightened the boot catch a bit to make it close more firmly against the seal
