Preparing for re-map
Hi Guys
On my Impreza 2.5 WRX 06 I have an afterburner decat center and back box. I'm aiming to have a re-map mid may time. I am going to get a cosworth panel filter, decat downpipe and decat front section before the re-map.
My question is can I run the whole straight through system (decat downpipe, decat front, decat centre and back box) without causing problems before I have the re-map? I seem to remember somebody warning against it somewhere on the net, but can't find the page now. It will suit me to get the decat downpipe and front section fitted about a week before the re-map, so that would mean about 400 miles covered.
Thank you
Jack

Belive that this would be ok as long as you drive the car off boost!
there is a bit on andy forrest website about driving your car before getting remap work carried out, here is the link

You should be fine if you don't load the engine, and also make sure you keep to =< 0 bar/psi.
If you had changed the turbo and/or IC and/or injectors, then that's another matter... i.e. don't drive it!
Don't forget, in 5th at c.3000rpm, you can maintain 60+ mph still - so not as if you'll be 'holding up' traffic...

Cool, thank you for the info

newage have the lamba in the 3rd /cat pipe or decat pipe as some call it just unscrew and replace into your replaced 3rd decated pipe one before centre section
