Default help.......

hi guys just hoping someone might know. car wouldn't start today sounded like jammed starter, so had to bump start it then ran like poo. the engine check light was on. warmed her up a little and tryed her up the road a bit then theres no boost. have checked pipes none have seemed to have split etc . any idea's would be great many thanks mark

On the basis of the information above Mark the only thing we could suggest is first of all to query the ECU with the black plugs under the dash to determine what fault codes are stored, assuming you have a classic of course.

Beyond that you need to tell us what (and what year) car you're talking about, whether it was fine when you switched it off the last time you drove it, whether you can now start it on the starter, so-on. The more information you give us the easier it should be to try and make some sense of.

its a classic 98 v4 sti it started fine yesterday no probs and the same now.it was just that one blip

It's running fine now you say? If so that's the main priority dealt with. Anyway, connect the black plugs and see what code(s) the CEL chucks out. Will narrow things down a lot.

many thanks, unable to get out to check it at the moment,do you think i'll be killing it if I drive it steady to work in the morning
