i picked up a set of lamco gauges for my 99 UK classic turbo. but these didnt come with the oil temp or pressure senders. but it does have the wee box on the back that converts the reading for the oil pressure.

these gauges...

my question is, do i need a specific pressure sender to work with these gauges or will a generic oil pressure sender work with them.

likes of scoobyworld has the sandwich plate plus oil temp & pressure senders which i was hoping i could use.

any help greatly appreciated.

i think this has been tried before and you will need a specific lamco sensor.

as above, i tried a different make and it didnt read right. from the steelers they cost mega ££

As above - pretty sure they are a 3 wire sensor, feed/earth/signal.
