ENGINE CHECK LIGHT?????
SO I WENT OUT THIS MORNING STARTED UP THE CAR THEN NOTICED THAT THE ENGINE CHECK LIGHT WAS ON , TOOK IT OUT FOR A TEST DRIVE, STILL WAS ON THEN GOT HOME AFTER ABOUT 15 MIN DRIVE CAR DROVE OK WAS BOOSTING TO ABOUT 1 BAR AND EVERY THING ELSE SEEMED OK SO TURN ENGINE OFF THEN BACK ON AGAIN ABOUT 3 OR 4 TIMES THEN ENGINE CHECK LIGHT JUST WASN`T ON , DOES THIS MEEN THAT SOMETHING IS ON ITS WAY OUT OR WHAT ? SEEMS A BIT STRANGE TOO ME OR HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANY BODY ELSE ?

There are a number of error conditions that will result in the CEL being activated, but switched off again after three successful starts - and it sounds like this is what you've had.
It might mean that something's on its way out, or it might not. If you want to find out then, assuming you're driving the red blobeye shown in your avatar, you'll need to plug it into a Select Monitor/OBD2 tool/etc and see what the fault code is.
The bottom line though is that if you don't see the CEL come back on, the problem appears to have been temporary. All the same, better to know what it is than just assume under these circumstances.

yeh think i will get it checked just to be on the safe side cheers ,yeh red blobeye is what driving about
