Default Timing belt change on uk and jdm newages the same?

Hi guys

just a quick question, my uk bugeye sti ...ive been told the timing belt should be done 5 years or 50k miles which ever is earlier..

is this correct firstly?

and secondly is this the same for the blobeye twin scrolls cars? as i cant find a record of it being done in the service history..

cheers

I would think so. It's a pretty easy job anyway.

you've already been advised that it should be done every 5 years or 50,000. If the car's new to you just get it done for peace of mind. If you've had the car for 5 years or 50,000 miles then get it done. If you're not sure when it was last done then get it done.

just do it.
