decat up-pipe, downpipe??? confused.com

Default decat up-pipe, downpipe??? confused.com

hi
i havent really looked yet but i was after a decat downpipe but i have seen decat up -pipes, is the up-pipe from mani to turbo and are they catted - strange
sorry if i sound thick but not used to this kind of config.

i have a v4 sti so anyone who knows what i`ll need can you tell me please

Yep the up-pipe is from the headers to turbo. Not sure if yours will have a cat (I think it wont). Mine certainly has (02 WRX)

No Cat in your up-pipe, mainly new generation 2001 onwards wrx models have them.

A mistake people often make is fitting a much larger up-pipe, this will increase spool times not reduce it. OE up-pipe is fine on your car so leave as is. Unless of course you wanted to fit ported headers.
