Default boost problems

I have a boost problem! i have a uk 99 clasic, that will hold boost but! if i give it full beans in say 4th ot 5th the boost seems eratic. it fluctuates on my gauge between .5 and 1.2 bar. you can feel the car surging as this happens. could this posibly be anything to do with the boost solinoid.

yep thats whats happened to my mates we sorted it using a bleed valve and bypassing the 2 bar sensor, if you take a pipe from actuator to turbo this will make the turbo run in standard pressure which is 0.5bar, if you do this and the car runs perfectly with little boost then you 2 bar sensor is at fault, hope this helps
