ESL daughterboard isn't currently available for MY97/98 "Ph.1.5" cars. You need a Apexi PFC or Simtek (excellent value-for-money ECUs).

I'd replace the mushroom for a decent cone like a K&N, etc.

Not sure of mappers in the west country, but the highly regarded mapppers, JGM and dynamix, travel all over the shop and will come to anywhere you want lol.

You'll be looking at 310-330bhp when mapped, I believe.

The 97/98 ESL board is imminent but will probably be a few weeks at least yet until fully tested and ready for sale.

As said by Joz the Simtek solution works really well and would be a very good option at the moment.

I am often down that way. Next down in early April.

Ahhh, so they're still working on it then?! I thought they'd "shelved" it.

It's never been shelved.

I have held the physical ESL 97/98 board post production run in my sweaty little hands so it does exist too.

I'd definitely keep the Simtek.
