Remove KMH->MPH converter

Remove KMH->MPH converter
Hi!
I am trying to remove the KMH->MPH converter on a classic Typer-R (MY00)
On the last one, we found a SpeedM8 box which was pretty easy to remove, now we have looked all over and cant find anything that does the conversion. The dials are the standard ones and just have a MPH sticker over KMH.
Anyone have any ideas? The car has a Simtek ECU, but it shouldnt change the signal or?
Any help of where to look is appreciated

Hi, I've got a classic V4, my convertor is an electronic device that converts the signal coming into the clocks, so it sits in line with pin 2 on the right hand connector on the back of the clocks:
Its folded back on the connector here so you can see it - I reckon if you trace that wire back you should find a convertor chip somewhere ... if you've got the same clocks as me that is
I'm fairly sure the SimTek doesn't convert kph / mph
Hope that helps a bit
Cheers,
Pete
