Hey guys i have a V2 STi and i have finally got it running. Big thanks to Big Chap ( Stewart ) for the supply of the engine its pulling like a train

My concern is that the car is boosting to 1.35 bar (20psi) and i dont think that it seams right.

Mods to car are 3" straight through no cat and induction kit.

Also it cuts all power when you hit about 4500 rpm on full boost like the is a fuel cut off on violent.

Would be greatful id some one could shed some light

obviously your car is overboosting. it should only boost to about 13psi. when this happens you get that brick wall effect.
check you have the boost plumbing correct and that the restrictor pill is still in the bottom pipe of the solenoid.

 

Would a naffed solinoid be a cause aswell??

solenoids rarley pack up. its normally cos the boost piping is plumed wrong or cos a silly dump valve is fitted or other vacuum leak.

 

The solinoid is doing some serious clicking even ticking over,
There is a blitz dump valve on it non recuirc and i have check the piping against my dads and it is spot on.

ticking is normal. thats the noise it makes when it is working. dump valve could be a good place to check. good luck

 

I have taken Solinoid off just to check its working. I have run 2 wires from Bat and just tapped the terminals but nothing either way.

Car is being sprayed atm so cant try back on car atm.

Does any one have a 3 port solinoid near welshpool powys i could try on mine??

Also is it only the STI's that have three port??
