HKS adjustment
having the early HKS SSQV d/v it has the adjustable screw on the back.
After taking it apart to have a nose, where the screw is inside here is a rubber diaphram, there are no springs in the SSQV.
Anyhoo, the tighter the screw is in the harder it is to make the diaphram work,so all the way in means the screw is pushing on the diaphram which makes it impossible to open (under vacuum i guess)
so,is it better with stock boost to have it screwed all the way OUT to allow the vacuum to open the diahpram ?
im wanting more psssh early on in the rev range
cheers

well, ive moved the bolt all the way out, well, enough all the way out it still screws into the retainer,so now, a little bit of vaccuum opens the plunger to make a psst sound,as im running stock boost and nothing high i figure it needs to be like this, screwed all the way in would require a huge amount of vaccuum to open the plunger to create a pssst which would need a huge amount of boost, bigger turbo/mapped etc i guess ???
see how this works, need to refit it to the car now !
