Lambda replacement question.
Hi all, my first post so be gentle!
I ditched my mk2 golf gti earlier in the year for a 96 impreza turbo - best decision ever - only down point has been the fuel economy
My impreza is running a little rich, I can smell fuel on the exhaust at idle and occasionally get popping from the exhaust.
I decided the lambda on the downpipe needed replacing (hope you agree this is a good place to start) and have purchased one at a reasonable price. I plan to install it this evening - apologies if this has already been answered - but do I neeeed to disconnected the battery and reset the ECU for this sensor change to take effect?

Any help would be appreciated!
Matt
