Default Exhaust Question

Folks,

Currenty fitted to my Hawkeye STi is a cat back Blitz Nur Spec R, superb bit of kit but i'm wanting some more out of it. For example if i fitted a decat centre pipe (eg hayward and scott) would it still pass the emissions test during an MOT and would the car need remapped

The OE downpipe and CAT would still be in place

cheers

A straight-through centre section can be fitted with no problems, the first and second cats do the job of keeping the emissions down.

I had the cat on the downpipe removed on my bug eye all cats removed apart from the up pipe and the engine management light came on after 500miles then it drank fuel! it was over boosting as well, e.g. 3rd gear going up hill foot to the floor the power would pull to 4k then go flat then after 4500k kick back in so i think if you decatted u should get it mapped and stopps any complications most of all gives you loads more power
