94 v1 sti with apexi power fc, boost controller fmic and supporting mods
ran dumpvalve-less for a while, to aleiviate a judder on light throttle lift off
raced it at crail and it broke, 2/3rds of the way down strip.
thought id fcked the maf - due to ditching the d/v, just replaced it and fitted a forge re-circulating valve
still exactly the same, fitted new plugs and coils 1 month or so ago
it drops to running on 2 cylinders, barley moving, stalls/cuts out ect ect
any ideas?

depends how good your fault code reader is, i.e a snap on modis can i belive. but not sure what sensors it can diagnose.

ok after a helpful mod on scottish scoobies gave me this diagram

told me to check my timing marks, when i line them up the crank seems to be 15-20degrees out - this is withput removing the crankbolt, just going by the cut in the outer crank pulley?
belt doesnt seem slack- he reasoned as the fault hap'pened full pelt, it couldve jumped or at least worth checking
mark 14 on the diagrm seems to be about 2 oclock - i dont know much about these engines

thats a bad thing if its about 2 o clock, means timings out. you shouldnt be able to twist the belt any more than 90 degrees on its longest stretch, id buy a new timing belt kit, have it put on, or do it your self. and problem shoulfd sort its self, only thing is it may have caught a valve or two, but you say its still running so it shuld be ok?

im going to strip of the rest of the cam belt casing and check it properly, need to wait on getting a volunteer to sit in it with foot on the brake tho lol
maybe from the angle im looking at the mark is making it look worse than it is.
its actually due a belt so think ill just do that.
it runs ok at times so sure hasnt hit a valve -
nightmare!!!!
