reckon ive been had in the bag ?????
brought a turbo of ebay other week it turned up ive just got a fitting kit for it went to fit turbo and found a crack in the wastgate area outlet is this turbo still ok to use ??? heres the pics

I have seen many cracked waste gate areas before and used many turbos with cracks in this area, however these where not on a scooby so I would wait for others to comment, however in my experience all is probably not lost

hi a good welder would sort this out for you for a couple of quid. you will have to remove the waste gate and protect the turbine wheel from the spatter or he may be able to braze it back up. he could advise you on whats needed tho. Worst case senario is to use it as a exchange unit for a good recon. So all is not lost just yet. hope this helps
