Default what tmic is this?

It has had the bolt on dv hole proffesionally alloy welded and the dv pipe alloy welded on. I t came of a 93 wrx but is not a standard tmic for these cars. I belive it to be a early sti tmic what do you think?

Not a V5, it's probably a phase 1,5 (v3/4 (MY97-98) Sti ic/WRX MY97-98), converted to phase 1 (as kind of already pointed out) by OP)

Defo a v.3/4 STi one with the OEM curved DV port on the extreme right (looking at the pic) grinded off and a plate welded over - you can just make it out in the pic.

Then someone's fabricated a 90-deg DV pipe for the opposite side. No doubt intended to be used on a MY93-96 car, where the DV needs to be on that side for a short path to the reirc port on the turbo intake pipe...
