I know its probably a silly question but do Newage backboxes include Hawkeye not just Bug and blob. Its just that I want to buy a Backbox thats off a blob and want to make sure the Hawkeye isn't different as its a 2.5.

Okay thanks. Lucky I didn't buy that then. So 2006-2007 are different.

 

I'm sure that newage includes hawkeye when it comes to exhaust systems?or maybe it's just the downpipe i'm thinking of?

 

Backboxes all the same, the only caveat to this is the rear diffuser on the STi which isn't compatible with some if not all Jap style exit back boxes.

 

I thought all backboxes were compatable till i read this:

Only difference on the MY06+ is length of the down pipe and cat pipe, over all length/ shape is unchanged. Centre pipe and back box are unaffected. The only implication is that you can't mix and match say a MY05 Prodrive sports cat with a MY06 Prodrive cat pipe as the system would be too long. However a MY05 Prodrive Sports cat and MY05cat pipe will connect factory to the MY06 centre and whatever BB you want.

 

I wouldnt worry what they say, they just send you any exhaust and leave you to worry if it fits and if it doesnt its the customers fault.
