What oil for a 2002 wrx

Default What oil for a 2002 wrx

Hi just got my first subaru going to give it a oil change but not sure on what oil to use, would Mobil Super S 10w/40 be ok ??

10w40 is fine, semi synth is the norm but depends on the mileage if you go for fully synth or not.

Rob, be sure to read threads on here about correct procedure including disconnecting the crankshaft position sensor before you do the job. It could prove costly in the long run. Trust me, I know.

A 5w-40 will give better cold start protection and a synthetic will give better all round protection, but a 10w-40 will be fine

Do like advised by the experts and I am sure all will be fine. You have just got to hope then that the previous owners did it too!
