Default Gearbox codes

Hi,
can anyone please advise what year and model the following 6 speed unit comes from: EATY856WB2GA

I've got the chance of buying it for my classic (v3 sti) and it's just come out of a my99 sti. Apart from box, prop, diff and hubs is there anything else I need for the conversion. Thanks very much.

Thanks. I wasn't expecting that. How will that differ to a standard JDM box? Would that be a good choice for a Fast road car with occasional track days? Cheers

Christ yes. The 5-sp struggles with 350-400 and the only options to upgrade are the PPG gearset... or, even better, a New Age 6-sp!

How much is it going for?

I know it will cope with the power I'm thinking more in terms of ratios. How do the uk, jdm and spec c differ? I'm guessing it will be closer ratios?

AFAIK, you need the starter and clutch cylinder off the new box, and the cradle it sits in when attached to the car might be of benefit.
