What has been done to the engine? that could determine what oil to use.

Standard internals at 380bhp
Drop to a 10w50 or a 10w40 oil, that 60 weight is thick as hell in a classic engine

Doesnt really matter if its built or not, if it doesnt make a lot of heat like most subaru engines dont as they dont produce that sort of power to do so, your wasting your money on a 60 weight oil, that 60 takes an age to get up to temp as its like tar, hence a 40 or 50 will protect your engine far better as these warm up quicker.
I would suggest changing to a 40 or 50 weight oil

Its had the Millers 60 weight since day one and its the oil that Zen supplied when they built/service the engine....

They must supply and use it for a reason.....

Doesnt mean its the best oil for your car just because they supplied it, they could have gotten an excellent discount for a bulk buy, but its thick as hell at 100 deg compared to a 50 or 40 weight, that makes it sluggish in the engine and not providing the best protection for a normal or slightly tuned engine, the engine has to really get warm for it to do its job, yours wont, mine wont, very few will so its up to you, its more strain on your oil pump and its less protection for your engine.

I see Millers do a 10w 50 now..........so you think this would be more suitable?

What sort of oil temp increase will i see by going for a thinner grade as have seen 115 on the gauge on track..??

Yup I would go with the millers 10w50 doubt you will see much if any difference, maybe slightly better with a thinner oil.
