Default Graphics... Yes or No ?

Having previously put a set of Cuscoe graphics on my Ra prior to sale and been told they looked great, (As seen in my garage section). I'm now deliberating whether to put some Monster (Ken Block) graphics on my newage Scooby. Depending on the feedback as to yes they look good or no, they are naff determines the cars finished outcome.
The car will be going in the For Sale section soon as I have a new Sti C spec coming over from Japan as we speak. It's kicking out around 320bhp and was remapped recently by Duncan at Dynamix. Spec = Walbro, 550's FMIC 3 port boost solenoid, Blitz Sonic induction kit, Brand new vented & grooved discs F&R with EBC Yellowstuff pads etc etc. Price will be around £4,500.00

1. 0.
Thats what I'm trying to determine. Obviously a car like this appeals to a younger person and as such will the graphics add to its saleability or not. Yes, at the end of the day it comes down to personal choice but is there a bid sway one way or another?

got too agree NO. To me the only plus point of graphics is they will draw the eye of a thieving scumbag before he spots my Scooby and will think that because money has been spent on graphics it must, LOL, be a better car than one without graphics. IMO Steve. Body armour and tin hat on ready for some stick.

I'd say be different and go for it, i've always liked graphics on cars, it breaks up the
boring single colour body colour BUT it's got to be done right, if not it looks cack!

5-1

Who cares what other people say mate, if you like it go for it. No mater what you do there will always be some people with something to say about if and if we all did the same thing life would be very boring...

Each to their own.

Like joz said, its each to their own.

When I was looking for a scooby I said I didn't want a silver one and I didn't want one with graphics. Needless to say I saw a silver one with black and white graphics and I fell in love with it.... and bought it!

It really is each to their own.

By his own admission it is going up for sale soon, and in my experience graphics will definitely reduce the market appeal of the car. Just as another poster commented that thieves will look at it and consider it has been modified more highly perhaps, potential buyers may assume that it has been driven like a rally car, or that it simply looks too chav/silly/garish*. If the buyer wants them, they'll put them on themselves if the car is the model they are after, so don't waste time, money, or compromise possible sales. There is also the possibility that some damage could occur during their application or removal. I have seen several friends cars need respray work after the lacquer/paint was damaged, and there is also a chance of uneven fading over time, but that is not probably an issue here.

Fair point about the selling side of things. But I suppose it depends whether he wants to enjoy the car for a bit with/without graphics first!

If he want's to sticker it up purely for immediate for sale, my take on it is: No. Graphics can be so personal, I feel it would put off more potential buyers, than it would attract if left as is....

Most of my mates who went for graphics changed the perception of their cars from looking like an adults prized possession, to looking like the best toy in the toy box. On the road the often looked out of place and immature, but on track-days they always looked the part with that race-car appearance. Have a drive around a council estate, then around the posh part of town and see which area has the more outrageously styled vehicles, then decide which social group you fit into best

Yeah my petrol head mate has firm, almost militant, views on this too. He says graphics have NO place on the road lol.

Wow wow wow I live on a council estate and have the most plain simple scoob ive ever seen..... My sister who has done very well for her self and lives in what we call Beverly hills has said "why did you buy that its a chavs car" a few times so dont believe stickers mean council estate nor do Bovs it is a personnel choice for the individual!!!!!!! But as the op has asked i simply gave my answer without bringing class or wealth in to a simple question!!!

Its just not graphics that could make or break a deal!

When I was looking to buy my first Subaru I wanted one as close to Standard as possible..........Wheels, spoilers and big intercoolers would put me off buying, Sell it standard and let the buyer do stuff that he wants to do to it himself

Like most people have already said they look right done properly on the right car! Not my cup of tea im affraid..............

i do think each to his especially when a lot of hard work has been put into the details BUT i do agree that re-sale could be better when clean and tidy.as said, the next owner may want to sticker the car himself.Cars can be quite personal things lol!maybe spend some money on a pro valet just before sale bud
