they are glued/sealed in as well and take a fair bit of moving first time> make sure you get a good seal on the replacments or you will have a boot full of water

If you use regular silicone then they will be nearly impossible to remove in the future, or if you don't get them sealed fully the first time you will not be able to remove to re-seal

I used this Evostik Roof & Gutter Sealant : Tooled-Up.com
from local Focus, it seals but only semi-sets

If you use a hairdryer to warm up the back panel around the light aperture (inside the boot) it will soften the bond and make it easier to remove the light.

You should be able to carefully scrape all the original bond off the lights that you have removed, and reapply it to the new lights before fitting.

The genuine bond doesn't set, but it will stick to anything in sight - hands, clothing etc, and is a PITA to get off.

Put a sheet of newspaper on the bumper, the original black sticky gooo goes stringy and gets everywhere. A pair of gloves would be good too, nightmare to get off your pinkies.
