Default 95 WRX problem

Hi folks, recently bought myself a 95 wrx import car is spotless with loads of history just what i was looking for, but yesterday was out cleaning it and noticed a faint knocking/tapping coming from the far back right side of the engine area, its hard to hear and goes away when i rev it, but been looking up on these and found that they can be bad for conrod play? not sure if this is deff the case but starting to panic, anyone got any sugestons on what it could be? and if it is play in the bearings how easy are they to replace?

any help is appreciated cheers!!!

It could be a few things and not all of them are bad.

Could you post up a sound clip of the noise?

might just be injectors, they are prone to be noisy on tickover

Mine does this occasionally - could also be the hydraulic tappets.
check the oil levels. Check the plug gaps. Make sure the coil packs are not cracked etc... you may find it just goes or stays occasionally - Iget stressed about these sort of things too but as said before they are not always a major fault.

As dan said try n get a sound clip - sometimes peeps can help but diagnosing odd sounds is not entirely exact over the net - if you're really worried pop the car to a specialist bud!
