if its for a classic, don't get an oily one like the K+N. 'Green' or 'cosworth' would be my choice as they are both cotton

WTF are you talking about? On the one hand you're telling the OP to avoid the K&N as it is "oily", and then on the other pushing him in the direction of the Green as it is "cotton".

In reality both the K&N and the Green are oiled cotton filters. And in reality, both of them are MAF friendly because they don't shed their oil. The K&N is fine, and so is the Green. I'd imagine the Cosworth one is oiled cotton too.

I use the K&N ones now. Unlike a lot of tight wads on here i dont bother trying to make em last for 5 years, i just bin em and buy new.

I've had K&N filters in all 4 of my Impreza's without issue - even used them in my rally car!

wouldn't use anything else.
