Default how much knock is bad??

hiya
i recently got a VF23, 440s, etc fitted to my wagon along with an Apexi ECU to run it.
i really like the hand controler, it's great to have a log of what the sensors have read during your drive. The knock reading is just a value-less number though, so at what value should i start worrying? most i've had out of it is a reading of 17, but it is normally a very similar number say 15-17 that it records as the max knock after a decent thrash. Is it just a case of if the reading shoots up above this "normal value" for my particular car then i should check it out as det cans and stuff will have been used during the mapping.

think i answered my own question! lol

cheers!
Ash

Yes you have
As a rough guide v1 and 2 should be below 50, v3 and 4 below 30 and v5 and 6 below 20.

no problem.. there are exceptions.. did a v2 that registered like a v5 earlier in the week but basically if it was setup correct and now is at a level then it shouldn't jump higher etc.

Brilliant. Thanks to JGM's original map (and Zen's tweak for the built engine), my PFC hardly ever gets to 20 when really hooning. Typically anything between 1 and 17! And it's a MY93 EJ20G!

Only got to 11 today whilst 'on it'

Cool.
