MINE'S ECU ?
Hi guys, i only purchased this car on monday and am finding new things out about it everyday.
the girl i got it from didnt know to much about it so i have been doing lots of investigating under the bonnet.
today i thought i would have a quick look at the ecu to find out what ecu it was running, when i took the foot plate off i noticed that it has i gold lable on it, stating " MINE'S genuine certificate"
"this is to state that this product is fitted with a genuine mines".
it also has a " genuine certificate number".
what the hell does this all mean and what is fitted ?
thanks david

Mines is a Japanese tuning firm. Their ECUs tend to be mapped pretty wildly and on Jap specification (i.e. high octane) fuel.
You may well find the engine isn't particularly keen on the combination of that management and British petrol (even VPower/99) so well worth your while hitting Search with "Mines" as the keyword, and see what the experience of others has to say.

if you want to keep the engine in one peice i would highly recommend you replace the mines with a new one or reconnect the j1 resistor inside it. do a search and you will see what i mean. mines ecus will not work even with tesco 99 ron.
