Default Swirl pot for 400-450bhp?

Would i really need a swirl pot setup with external pump for my project? It wont be used really as a trackcar mostly an everyday car. The current setup im looking at is a 2.57 forged block with gt35r twisted turbo and 740cc injectors...
Or will a 255lph intank pump do the job?

If not anyone selling what i need?

I run over 500bhp no swirl pot here but I guess it ain't a bad thing to have gt35r for the power level??? There's is so many options out there s206, md321t+and sc50 all will make 500 with right fuels, you can run a conservative map at a nice low boost setting that way not much stress on your block and if need more then they will still ne lenty in reserve,

p.s I do like the idea of a twisted gt35r but couldn't bare the thought of broken drive shafts and diffs ect

Single Bosch 044 in the tank on mine @ 570hp.

OK for everyday use, but when pushed hard on the road i have experienced fuel surge issues.

A single in tank walbro will not be upto the job it wont supply enough fuel for a GT35R

Intank 044 will be OK to supply enough fuel but you will still get surge on right handers if you have less than 1/2 a tank full.

I've known the intank anti surge kits to still surge.

The only way to beat fuel surge completely is with a swirl pot/external pump set up.

I've got an intank walbro which I'm just using as a lift pump which feeds a swirl pot. The swirl pot then feeds and in line 044 which supplies the rails.
I also think you'll need to get those 740's modified to also be upto the job.

Power has nothing to do with fuel surge, its the going round corners that causes it.

I get it bad with approx 270bhp, as Daz said anything under 1/2 a tank.

Thats using track tyres on track days though.

For road use I doubt you will need one.

I mentioned power as the Walbro on its own won't supply enough fuel for the demands of a GT35R.

I've been on track in a p1 with road tyres and the hyperflow in tank anti surge kit and an in tank 044 fitted and we still had fuel surge.

What was happening was that the small pot that comes with the Hyperflow kit was emptying quicker than it could be filled as the fuel was escaping the pickup.

With a swirl pot you avoid this as it's big enough to hold plenty of fuel to get you round even the longest right handers.
