Default anoiying whining noise!

my friends twin turbo legacy has developed a weird whining noise coming from around the passengers side of the inlet manifold. u can hear it really clear, but just cant pin point it, any1 else experianced the shame that could b usefull. cheers shaun

HI mate try a google search I'm sure there's a Legacy forum out there. I think there a twin turbo! with one each side so it might be turbo problems or split hose

ye its twin turbo, 2.5 b5 engine. shurly sum1 may have dun sumthing on them bein identical engines. checked a few forums, still not *** up with anyfin.

does it happen all the time,does it change pitch or speed when engine revved,does it happen when in neutral or all gears etc.sounds like some mechanical wear/or contact.have a sound clip?? i had one of these but had no troubles
