Default Does this sound like my clutch is gone?

car: 1995 wrx import 87,000 miles. had a engine rebuild in 2003, but no mention of clutch being done, or any reciept for one.

Symptons: clutch biting point is right at the very top, and when trying to pull away from standing in first, car judders a lot, and have to give it a load of beans to pull off, and judders slightly when pulling away.

Changing through gears once already moving isnt too bad

Try bleeding the clutch hydraulics first.

hmm... ok doesnt sound too good then, can get a guy to change my clutch next week, whos got his own garage, and a expert around an impreza, only thing will be the flywheel, is that going to need attention? cant really afford a new or reconditioned one, how likely are they to warp / crack?

only dont want to be in the situation of getting clutch off, then finding the flywheel is shagged,

any suggestions
